1. Policy Statement

Epic Fitness is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all members, guests, trainers, and staff. Sexual harassment of any kind is strictly prohibited and will not be tolerated.

This policy applies to all individuals on Epic Fitness premises, including members, visitors, personal trainers, contractors, and employees.

Epic Fitness follows the principles outlined in Nepal’s Sexual Harassment at the Workplace (Prevention) Act, 2015, and related laws to ensure dignity, safety, and respect for all.

2. Definition of Sexual Harassment

Sexual harassment refers to any unwelcome behavior of a sexual nature that makes a person feel uncomfortable, offended, intimidated, or unsafe. This includes conduct that occurs once or repeatedly, whether intentional or not.

Sexual harassment may be:

  • Verbal
  • Non-verbal
  • Physical
  • Visual
  • Digital / Online

3. Examples of Prohibited Behavior

Sexual harassment includes, but is not limited to:

  • Unwanted staring, leering, whistling, or suggestive gestures
  • Inappropriate comments about someone’s body, clothing, or appearance
  • Sexual jokes, remarks, or suggestive language
  • Unwanted touching, brushing against, or invasion of personal space
  • Persistently approaching, following, or disturbing someone after they have expressed disinterest
  • Taking photos or videos of others without their clear consent
  • Sending inappropriate messages or content through social media or messaging platforms connected to gym interactions
  • Any act that creates a hostile, intimidating, or unsafe environment

Consent matters. Silence or politeness does not mean consent.

4. Expected Conduct

All members and staff at Epic Fitness are expected to:

  • Respect personal boundaries and privacy
  • Maintain appropriate behavior at all times
  • Use gym facilities solely for fitness and wellness purposes
  • Stop immediately if someone expresses discomfort

5. Reporting Sexual Harassment

Anyone who experiences or witnesses sexual harassment is encouraged to report it as soon as possible.

All complaints will be handled confidentially, seriously, and without retaliation.

6. Investigation and Disciplinary Action

Epic Fitness will promptly and fairly review all complaints. Depending on the nature and severity of the incident, actions may include:

  • Verbal or written warning
  • Temporary suspension of membership
  • Termination of membership without refund
  • Permanent ban from Epic Fitness facilities
  • Reporting the matter to relevant authorities, where required by law

Epic Fitness reserves the right to take immediate action to protect the safety and dignity of members and staff.

7. No Retaliation

Retaliation against any person who reports sexual harassment or cooperates in an investigation is strictly prohibited and will result in disciplinary action.

8. Shared Responsibility

Creating a safe gym environment is a shared responsibility. Members are encouraged to look out for one another and report any behavior that feels unsafe or inappropriate.

9. Policy Acceptance

By entering or using Epic Fitness facilities, all members and visitors agree to comply with this Sexual Harassment Policy.
